RTA Audio: Realtime Analyzer and Visualizer
RTA Audio is a free multimedia application developed by New Ball s.r.o. for iPhone users. It offers a real-time analyzer and a visualizer module with export capabilities.
The real-time analyzer allows users to analyze audio input in real-time using Fast Fourier Transform with a selected window function. Whether using the built-in microphone or external audio accessory inputs, users can record the input for offline processing or export.
The visualizer module presents the results of offline audio analysis. Users can view the graph, spectrogram, and waveform of previously captured recordings. The module also provides simple controls for playing, looping, seeking, and changing the rate of the recording synchronized with the analysis data. Exporting the analysis results in a PDF document that includes recording information, spectrogram, peak and RMS graph, and frequency table data with maximum peaks and the time of occurrence.
Key features of RTA Audio include adjustable resolution, logarithmic frequency scale, fixed frequency range, tone scale view, peak hold graph, peak average graph, RMS average graph, pointer function, and peak and RMS input meter. The audio input specification includes measurement mode, input gain control, sample rate ofHz, bit depth of Float32, mono channel, frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, and a dynamic range of -100dB to 0dB.
With a frame size of 8192, overlapping options from 60% to 90%, and a variety of smoothing window options, RTA Audio provides detailed FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis. The program also supports hardware acceleration for enhanced performance.
